By creating an email using an IP geolocation, Ebates was able to generate an image of where the reader was at any given time. The localized image in the header of the email provided greater personalization for Ebates’ customers. The email also displays the list of stores that the customer visited, and how much cash back they earned from that store. The names of the stores are linked so that customers can simply click and be easily taken back to the store. In addition, a section of the email provides suggestions for other stores similar to the ones the shopper likes to frequent, driving customers to other Ebates clients.
